On this day in 1967, Star Trek resumed production after the summer hiatus, filming the first episode of the second season – “Catspaw.”  Director Joseph Pevney filmed on the bridge of the Enterprise this day, and it was the first time Walter Koenig played Ensign Chekov.  Among other lines, Chekov told Lt. DeSalle (Michael Barrier), “I can do it, sir. I’m not that green.”  Walter certainly wasn’t green. He had been working often in TV, and had even been considered for a regular role on “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” (as the hip talking Seaman Riley).  What Walter did not have was long hair, to help him look like Davy Jones of the Monkees (Roddenberry’s goal).  So, until he could grow his hair out, he wore a Beatles’ wig, for this and three other episodes. Do you know which episodes those were?  Answer
